| The following entries, submitted by area constituents, are distributed by me in this blog as a public service to increase dialog about issues of importance to Blount and Sevier County residents. I do not necessarily agree with or endorse any statement made herein. Our form of government works best, when many, differing viewpoints are heard and considered. The process is often "messy." Read, think, and offer your opinions. Most importantly, though, make up your own mind.

POST TP-1: INTERSTATE 3.
Received: September 29, 2006. Added: September 29, 2006.
I oppose building Interstate 3 from Savannah, Georgia to Knoxville, Tennessee. We already have too much traffic, too much air pollution, too much destruction of our beautiful landscape, too much transportation of radioactive materials to Oak Ridge, etc. How do others feel about having still more Interstate arteries feed into over-crowded Interstate highways in the Knoxville region? Please, enough!
Susan, Maryville
EDITOR'S COMMENT: This Interstate project will be highly controversial. A search of the GoogleTM search engine--
GO TO THIS ADDRESS-- displays numerous Websites (mostly in opposition to the project). Four of the first sites encountered in the search engine include:
